CPL offers FREE one-on-one tech support every Wednesday between 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Make a 30-minute appointment for specialized time with a tech-savvy librarian to help with your needs-- computer, tablet, phone, Zoom, etc.

We have multiple computers for you to use in our front lobby and Orr Room, as well as free WiFi inside and outside the library. Staff are happy to assist you with technology questions or needs!

Hotspot Lending

Now you can borrow the internet with our free Wifi hotspots! Hotspots may be reserved -- just like a book -- at Centerville Public Library when you take it out at the circulation desk.

Why would I want a hotspot?

People often use a hotspot when they do not have internet or WiFi available at home or at work. Using the device, you can connect to the internet for job searching, teleheath appointments, homework, online classes, entertainment, and more!

What's included with each hotspot?

A mobile hotspot unit, carrying case, AC charger cable, Quickstart guide, and instructions/tech support

Who can borrow a hotspot?

Anyone age 17+ with a library card in good standing. There is one device per household at any time.

How long can I have the hotspot?

The loan period is 2 weeks. When you return the hotspot, a patron must wait 24 hours before taking out an available hotspot.

What are the overdue or damage fees for a hotspot?

$1.00 per day late (up to $3.00). After 1 day late, we will remotely shut off the hotspot until it is returned to CPL. A lost or damaged hotspot (including parts) is $45.
